How do you find a good agent?

You’ll likely spend a lot of time with your agent so compatibility is essential. Make sure you’re comfortable speaking with your agent, and that your agent listens to you. Ideally, your agent is familiar with the neighborhoods you’re interested in, and will tell you everything you need to know about where you want to live.
A good agent also will:
- Be available to show you homes on your schedule.
- Answer questions and keep you abreast of what’s happening in the market.
- Research and preview homes, and eliminate those that don’t fit your requirements.
- Make the house–hunting experience easier, setting up showings and driving you to the appointments, if necessary.
- Explain the pros and cons of each house you visit, and provide current information on area's school districts, infrastructure, and amenities.
